Avon Protection understand the threats we have today and what they mean for tomorrow. With an extensive knowledge of customer needs, Avon Protection’s innovations are designed with the user in mind and engineered for the most extreme of environments.
At IDEF 2019, Avon Protection will be demonstrating their fully electronically controlled MCM100 rebreather. The MCM100 rebreather was designed and developed around the diver, to deliver enhanced multi-role capability in the form of a new long endurance, electronically controlled rebreather capable of integrating with a range of military diving applications, in particular mine warfare and Special Forces, including Covert Subsurface Infiltration, Submarine Release & Infiltration and Manned Underwater Vehicle Operations.
The launch of the MCM100 heralds a revolutionary change in rebreather technology, placing two key elements at the heart of the platform; diver safety and multi-role mission capability.
Oliver Morton, Military Business Development Director said, “To ensure we continue to meet our customer’s needs, Avon Protection continue to remain at the forefront of technology, not just delivering equipment but end user capability.”
Also on display will be Avon Protection’s MP-PAPR, which provides wearers with an increased cooling effect, significantly less user burden and reduced pulmonary stress. This first flexible-bodied, modular PAPR is designed to be integrated with a wide range of protective equipment. Carry systems include back mount with integrated hydration bladder option, traditional belt wear and MOLLE mount for ballistic vest integration.
MP-PAPR deploys a new generation of crush-proof, highly flexible CBRN hose for improved integration, optional remote power switch and multiple battery packs make the unit the most versatile PAPR system ever.
