Sabena technics and Elbit Systems join forces on the marketing and delivery of DIRCM self-protection solutions for military and VIP aircraft.

This joint effort follows a successful conclusion of several joint projects for installing Elbit Systems’ MUSIC Family of DIRCM systems on-board Airbus and Boeing aircraft. Sabena technics will market, install and certify Elbit Systems’ DIRCM self-protection solutions for Military, Heads of States and private aircraft owners.

Since 2014 when Elbit Systems MUSIC DIRCM systems were selected to protect Israel’s commercial airliners’ fleets, the Company’s DIRCM systems have been selected by numerous customers and were installed on a wide range of fixed-wing and rotor-wing aircraft types among them Boeing, Airbus Embraer and Gulfstream.

“Such partnership with Elbit System is completely in line with our strategy”, said Philippe Rochet, CEO of Sabena technics. “We see a growing demand for both military and VIP customers on this market. We believe that our ability to install and certify this kind of systems with commercial authorities (e.g. EASA, FAA) is a key driver of success”, he added.

Elad Aharonson, General Manager of Elbit Systems ISTAR, commented: “Partnering with Sabena Technics makes perfect sense as aircraft owners increasingly seek to acquire self-protection capabilities. Mature and operational onboard numerous platform types, we believe that the MUSIC family of DIRCM systems offer a unique proposition combining high level of confidence and economic efficiency.”
