The Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV) has awarded a $23 million follow-on contract to Elbit Systems Deutschland for additional Software Defined Radios (SDR) that will be used by the Swedish Armed Forces. The contract will be delivered over 30 months.
The initial order was placed by FMV in 2016 for E-LynXTM SDR vehicular dual channel and full duplex multi-channel technology, as part of its tactical radio upgrade programme.
The patented multi-channel network capability provides dynamic and autonomous optimisation of spectrum resource allocations enabling concurrent execution of various missions while maintaining fast, resilient, secured, interoperable and immune communications in any terrain.
The E-LynX family of SDR is designed in an open architecture approach. It features unique waveforms and enables the adoption of European and NATO waveforms. E-LynX SDR has already been selected by several countries across Europe including Switzerland and Spain.
