AM General (AUSA 2022, Booth 2039 Hall ABC) has announced its teaming with IVECO Defense Vehicles (IDV) in its proposed offering for the US Army Common Tactical Truck (CTT) requirements.
IDV debuted the new Modular Military Range of tactical and logistics vehicle at EUROSATORY in Paris in June 2022.
This series of vehicles includes the range from 4 X 4 to 10 X 10 chassis offered with a variety of cabs appropriate to the full scope of military mission applications. These are capable of proving systems with GVWs ranging from 18 to 40 tons, as well as, heavy-transport versions to 130 tons.
Yet, each vehicle retains a high level of commonality in components, parts, as well as, operating, support and maintenance. The Range is based on a common chassis which offers the possibility of installing either a military unprotected tactical cab or militarized commercial cab. The line also can accept cabs protected against mines/IEDs and small arms and shrapnel.
The designs allow for configuring with engines, transmissions, axles, electronics, and other components complying with customer requirements. The US Army’s CTT key objectives are already being realized in the IDV Modular Military Range. AM General brings its long history addressing US military requirements and domestic production knowledge and resources.
