Paramount Aerospace Industries (PAI), subsidiary to the leading global aerospace and technology company headquartered in the UAE, Paramount, has announced additional customer deliveries of its ‘Mwari advanced reconnaissance, surveillance, and precision strike aircraft, in addition to the integration of a Weapon Management Systems and Command and Control Base at Defence, Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2023.
The announcement of additional customer deliveries and the integration of weapons and command and control base systems represent the latest exciting milestone in the continued commercial success of the ultimate aerial F3EAD force solution.
Customer Deliveries
With deliveries underway to the Mozambican Air Forces, where the Mwari is already actively operational, having accrued over 70 hrs of flight-time in addressing challenging reconnaissance and surveillance assignments, it has been recently released that the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have ordered several Mwari platforms.
The unique specifications of the Mwari aircraft’s manufacture and versatility in the ISR and Armed Overwatch arena make it ideally suited for these diverse environments, where the ability to address numerous types of missions, such as counter insurgency, border patrol, precision strike, reconnaissance, and surveillance.
Designed for ISR and close air support (CAS) assignments with an interchangeable mission-configurable payload system, the Mwari is capable of operating in remote and austere environments while requiring a minimal logistical footprint. Embodying the ‘F3EAD’ (Find, Fix, Finish, Exploit, Analyze and Disseminate) capability, the aircraft is tailor-made for modern, asymmetrical threats around the world.
Steve Griessel, Paramount Global CEO “With decades of experience in asymmetrical warfare, we’ve designed the Mwari as a tool that is not only robust but incredibly adaptable, fitting the needs of modern militaries in Africa and around the world,” Griessel explained. “Our Mwari aircraft’s industry-redefining portability and indigenous production further allows for an unprecedented strategic alignment with nations, giving them not just a product but a sustainable security solution.”
Weapons Systems Integration & Testing
Paramount’s announcement of forthcoming deliveries at DSEI 2023, was followed with an announcement on Mwari’s integration of advanced weapons systems. Weapons testing and certification are expected to commence towards the end of the Q4 / early Q1 period, to be undertaken by Paramount Aerospace Industries (PAI), ensuring vertical integration and manufacture of the latest rendition of the company’s own intellectual property (IP).
Paramount further reports that specifics as to newly adopted mission and weapons systems will be disclosed at a later date.
Command and Control Base Integration
Paramount’s additional integration of modern command, control and communications base systems architecture further enables the Mwari aircraft to serve as a critical link between aircraft, ground forces and forward-operating bases (FOBs). Advanced technologies are leveraged to transmit next-level intelligence and real-time analysis, ensuring that the Mwari can play a key role in coordinating responses, redefining the very nature of precision-strike.
Armed Overwatch Market Report
On the first day of DSEI, Paramount commissioned and published industry intelligence revealing that global air capability spending will reach over $476 billion, with Armed Overwatch/ISR market estimated to provide $32.3 billion of opportunities in the next five years.
The market report further emphasises the changing threat perceptions in continental Europe and beyond. Increased readiness against near-peer scenarios suggests that traditional 4th and 5thgeneration fighters will have very limited applicability to modern-day counter-insurgency operations.
“Made for portable production, the Mwari creates a sustainable security solution for any nation, no longer reliant on foreign powers. We are pleased to showcase at DSEI 2023 the Mwari’s critical role in an inter-connected battlefield, providing forces on the ground and in the air with a force multiplier competitive advantage,” Griessel concluded.
