Northrop Grumman Signs Partners to Pursue E-2D Sale

Polish company Exence and the Polish Air Force Institute of Technology signed an strategic partner agreement with Northrop Grumman on Wednesday 4 September to firm up a working partnership to develop and promote the E-2D Hawkeye as a long term solution to its airborne command and control requirements.

Janice Zilch, vice president of Multi-Domain Command and Control Business Unit at Northrop Grumman led the signing ceremony with Miroslaw Kowalski, director general, ITWL, and Krystof Jungowski, founder of Exence.

The Polish Defence Ministry has stated in its Perspective for 2032 that: “The desired end state [for all of its armed forces] should be unification of the command and control system of our defence.”

Zilch stated: “These partnerships will help develop Poland’s airborne command and control asset for Europe.”

As yet there is no stated requirement in the medium to long term from the Polish Ministry of Defence.
