Armada International Wins Best Technology Submission at Annual Defence Media Awards on Eve of AUSA

Three more articles reached the judging panels final list.

Dr. Thomas Withington, Armada Internationals Electronic Warfare Editor and long standing contributor won the Best Technology Submission at the annual Defence Media Awards 2025, staged at the National Press Club in Washington DC on Sunday 13 October.

The Defence Media Awards are always staged on the evening before the first day of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) annual exposition.

Tom’s winning article was Breaking Burdock which was published in the December23/January24 issue of Armada International (https://www.armadainternational.com/2023/12/issue-december-2023-january-2024/).

Two other regular Armada International contributors were also finalists:

Dr. Alix Valenti’s article The Future of Mine Countermeasures is Multi Dimensional article was a finalist in The Best Un-Manned Systems Submission. She also made the final list of the Best Naval Submission category with her feature entitled Evolutionary Spaces Future Proofing Submarine Design.

David Oliver’s article Russias Desperate Search for Helicopter Engines was also selected as a finalist in the Best Rotorcraft Submission category.
