FN Herstal: a long and illustrious record of service with British armed forces
Since the British armed forces started re-equipping after WW2, weapons designed and/or made by FN Herstal have been continuously in the hands of British troops in all corners of the world.
From the SLR 7.62 rifle, the GPMG 7.62 machine gun and the Browning 9mm pistol, to the .50 Cal FN® M3M weapon system on the Lynx, and more recently the FN MINIMI® LMG in both 5.56mm and 7.62mm.
The FN® M2HB-QCB was supplied by Manroy Engineering which has now joined the FN family as FNH UK.
For over 60 years FN Herstal and FNH UK have played a significant role in providing the British armed forces the means to carry out their missions.
FNH UK: a steadily expanding base of operations in the UK
FN Herstal is determined to maintain a strong position in the UK through large scale investments, particularly aimed at reinforcing production and R&D capability at FNH UK. This will provide close and continued support for UK DSIS from within the country, tailored to their specific requirements.
At the same time, FNH UK will be fully backed by the greater resources of the parent company, FN Herstal in Belgium. The only remaining UK based manufacturer of military small arms, FNH UK will grow bigger and stronger.
