Fibrotex USA awarded US Army ULCANS Contract

Fibrotex USA, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a competitive contract by the US Army Natick Soldier System Center for the continuous development and full production of the next generation multi-spectral Ultra-Light Weight Camouflage Net System: ULCANS. The 10-year competitive ID/IQ contract has a total value of $480M (USD). Full rate production is anticipated to start in the 2st Quarter of FY’19.

With this competitive down selection, the US Army has recognized Fibrotex USA as the world leader in camouflage and signature management technology. Fibrotex will now play a vital role in supplying this technology across all the ground elements of the US Army and select units of the Department of Defense. With this award, Fibrotex recognizes that it now has an iron-clad commitment to the continuous improvement of the Ultra-Lightweight Camouflage System. Fibrotex will continue driving the technology to stay ahead of the evolving sensor threats that are used to detect our war fighters on the battlefield. The down selection of Fibrotex for this responsibility was not based just on what is available today but what Fibrotex’ technology can bring to the Army’s requirements in the future applications.
